Yonatan, known by his nickname Yoni, who resides with family in Be'eri, was protecting his family fiercefully as Hamas terrorists infiltrated the kibbutz. Yoni sacrificed his life to protect his two children. Yoni was a fan of the Manchester United football team and was due to take his son Yosef to watch a game for the first-time next month. The United football club paid Yoni a tribute by including an article about him in its official program.
